Additional Explanations

Form 990, Part III, Line 3

The organization ceased various program services including food programs, The Village Library, Community Resource Center, and The Coat of Many Colors Thrift Store in 2024 and made a resolution to dissolve upon completion of formal dissolution plan.

Other income consists of sales of donated clothing and household goods through our thrift store, the Coat of Many Colors. All items of inventory are donated and the store is mostly staffed with volunteers.

Food assistance is valued by the number of pounds received from the donor times the Feeding America valuation of $2.00 per pound.

Form 990 Schedule I, Part IV Supplemental Information

Procedures for Monitoring the Use of Grant Funds - Grant amounts per individual are relatively small. In most cases, cash grants are paid directly to a third party provider, for example, rent paid directly to landlord on behalf of the individual. Non-cash grants including food lends itself to the beneficial use of the individual grantee for whom they are intended. Documentation and eligibility requirements for all grants are maintained on a consistent basis.

Form 990 Schedule M Part II Supplemental Information

The clothing and household items are donated through our thrift store, the Coat of Many Colors. The value of these items is listed at the value assigned to the item when placed in inventory for sale. This is the value for the cost of goods sold and inventory. The amount is also the listed sales price. Food inventory is valued by the number of pounds received from the donor times the Feeding America valuation of $2.00 per pound. The amount in column b of Part I for food inventory is the number of items contributed.
