THE SERVICES PROVIDED INCLUDE: SUPPORTIVE COUNSELING BY CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIESTS KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE ISSUES CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES FACE (BOTH DURING AND AFTER TREATMENT), SUPPORT GROUPS FACILITATED BY SKILLED CLINICIANS, SEMINARS FOR SPOUSES AND CHILDREN. THE NUTITRITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES FUND ASSISTS PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WITH IDENTIFYING NUTRITIONAL NEEDS, COPE WITH THE TREATMENT SIDE EFFECTS AND PROVIDE INFORMATION OF HEALTHY EATING DURING TREATMENTS. GOOD NUTRITION DURING CANCER TREATMENT IS VITAL. THE GOAL IS TO IDENTIFY CANCER PATIENTS IN NEED OF NUTRITIONAL THERAPY AND PROVIDE THE EDUCATION AND SUPPORT TO ASSIST WITH LONG-TERM CANCER SURVIVORSHIP, SYMPTOM CONTROL, AND PREVENTION. ALL NUTRITIONAL THERAPY AND EDUCATION IS PROVIDED TO PATIENTS FREE-OF-CHARGE.
