COUNSELING & RESIDENTIAL SERVICESRSV - Domestic Violence Shelter and Transitional Housing: CCS operates two shelters in San Diego County. Both shelters house women and children escaping domestic violence, and one location also provides shelter for male victims of domestic violence and their children. Food, clothing, safety planning, case management and advocacy are provided to help residents secure longer-term housing after shelter. CCS also provides transitional housing for adults and children who need more support on the path to safety and self sufficiency. All housing is provided in confidential locations.CSV - Trauma-Informed Counseling: Marriage and Family Therapy trainees (graduate level students) provide individual, group, family and child counseling using a variety of best practice, trauma-informed approaches, including trauma-informed cognitive behavioral therapy, guided imagery, art therapy, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and mindfulness therapies.

PREVENTION & EDUCATION SERVICESPSVPrevention Education: CCS provides education primarily focused on children, youth, and young adults. The education is tailored to meet the specific cultural and age-appropriate needs of each group. We typically offer each group a series of 2 to 4 sessions of prevention education that teaches how to establish healthy boundaries, conflict resolution skills, communication techniques, understanding consent, respecting one anothers boundaries, and how and where to get help if a relationship is unhealthy. CCS provides prevention education to public and private schools, youth service organizations, and at-risk teens and young adults.
