AVA is an association of healthcare professionals founded to promote the emerging vascular access specialty. AVA's mission is to distinguish the vascular access specialty and define standards of vascular access through an evidence-based approach to enhance healthcare outcomes. Today, its multidisciplinary membership advances research, provides professional and public education to shape practice and enhance patient outcomes, and partners with the device manufacturing community to bring about evidence-based innovations in vascular access.

“In 2023, AVA contracted Talley Management Group, Inc. ("TMG") of Mount Royal, NJ to manage its daily operations. TMG is a management company which manages all aspects of AVAs operations in accordance with AVAs bylaws and policies. Operations may include, but are not limited to administration, membership, finance and accounting, conference and event management, education, marketing, and information technology. TMG employees provide these services.”
“AVA requires annual elections where all members may vote online. AVA's Board Development Committee oversees the annual elections for officers and directors as well as any policy or organizational changes.”
“AVA's COO reviewed its 2024 Form 990 to ensure that all data is as accurate and complete as possible. In addition, the 2024 Form 990 will be provided to AVA's officers and directors-at-large after its filing.”
“Each officer and director is required to sign the "Policy on Avoidance of Conflict of Interest, Loyalty and Confidentiality" annually.”
“AVA will provide its governing documents, conflict of interest policy, annual information returns and financial statements upon request. AVA's bylaws are available on the organization's web site, www.avainfo.org. The Treasurer's Report is part of the Annual Business Meeting Agenda at the annual AVA conference. AVA Academy launched on April 2, 2019.Intravascular Quarterly:In 2018 AVA re-branded and relaunched its member newsletter (previously, eVAN) as Intravascular Quarterly (IQ). Published four times a year, IQ is free during its current quarter with the archive an exclusive member benefit.IQ keeps vascular access professionals up-to-date on important AVA news and the latest technological and educational information. It is a great tool for members; they can read it online, or print an issue and take it with them to read on-the-go.AVA uses IQ as a collaborative tool for association partners to cross-publish for broader audiences, as well as a platform for healthcare and corporate stakeholders in vascular access to share innovations, success stories and best practices. |
