IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0HousingOver 530 low-income individuals, families, and seniors were provided with decent, affordable shelter in our apartment communities in 2017, with an average occupancy of 96.89%. Project GO, Inc. Housing Staff are successfully Hands-on managing our five apartment communities, and have housed over 12,311 tenants since 1998.Collaborations with other organizations that provide assistance to Homeless resulted in stabilized housing for 28 households. Collaborative efforts continue between PGI Housing staff and the staff of Advocates for Mentally Ill Housing (AMIH), Placer Adult System of Care (ASOC), the Roseville Housing Authority, and the Veterans Administration. In 2017 the Veterans program resulted in sixteen (16) rent subsidies in the amount of $7,668 per month in three of our five apartment communities. The success of these collaborations does not stop with "just" providing housing. These collaborations include continued communications between agency staff, housing management, and our mutual clients - the tenants. The mere definition of "a hand up" concludes that the hand cannot be jerked away, or the client will fall. Therefore, the "hand up" must remain steadfast through the learning curve that most of these formerly homeless individuals need to be successful. The staff of AMIH, Placer ASOC, the Roseville Housing Authority, the Veterans Administration, Home Start, etc. are on "constant call" as needed when/if direction/education/intervention is needed - all with the intent of keeping folks in place and making sure that they are successful.
