Asset management since 2001, hdc has emerged as a leader in affordable housing, asset management, technical assistance, and training with nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, and governmental entities in oregon and washington. In 2008, as a neighborworks america consultant, hdc expanded its work to colorado and idaho. Asset management services guide clients through the challenges of owning and managing affordable housing and related community services facilities, helping ensure both the short and long term success of projects. Hdc has assisted more than 25 project owners to preserve more than 1,000 units of affordable housing, resulting in more viable portfolios and more effective staff and board oversight. Hdc asset management services include property and portfolio assessments, property and portfolio repositioning, property transfers, year 15 exits, capital needs assessments, reserve analyses, staff and board training, and systems development.

Activity 3

Hdc community fund, llc was formed in august 2009 to provide funding and development services to underserved communities through loans to nonprofit entities and housing authorities to develop or redevelop housing and facilities that serve primarily low-income communities and residents. In its first fiscal year, the loan fund helped finance three projects with loans totaling 220,000. Our support leveraged 34.7 million in permanent financing sources and will provide affordable housing to 149 families and individuals with incomes below 60% ami.
