“Sanctuary program: with the input of an art therapist and specialized restorative justice practitioners, we created this program to provide incarcerated 18-25-year-olds a creative venue and safe place in which to work through accountability and healing in relation to the cycle of harm. During this period, we commenced the first post-pandemic cohort at the substance abuse treatment facility and state prison at corcoran. Restorative mentor training: our restorative mentor training program equips participants with the philosophy and skills to become compassionate peer mentors, especially for the younger members of incarcerated communities. During this period, we activated this program at the california institution for women, california rehabilitation center, and california city correctional facility.”
