IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0Part III Statement of Program Accomplishments CHILD SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMMost of the children we provide for have been abandoned, orphaned, abused and/or neglected. These children live in the orphanges we support full time, or at home with family and are enrolled in our family empowerment program. In a world where the life of a child can be so fragile without the basic necessities of like, God has provded a way for us to help. Through sponsorships, we can make a difference in a childs future. SCHs Child Sponsorship Program supports two Haitian orphanages by providing food to sustan two full, hot meals a day, clean drinking water, toiletries, facility cleaning supplies, school tution, school supplies, school uniforms, medical appointments, and general building repair projects. This program is sustained by donors that sponsor a child within one or both of the orphanages. The combined number of supported individuals are 117 children and 12 full-time volunteers.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0Part III Statement of Program Accomplishments FAMILY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMSCHs Family Empowerment Program supports seven specific families. In Haiti the majority of children in orphanages today are poverty orphans. Poverty orphans are children who have living parents or family members, but they are orphaned due to their family living in extreme poverty. Parents or guardians in Haiti will take their children to orphanages or abandon them in a community close to an orphanage believing that the child will live a better life. We want to change that narrative and break the cycle. We identify a prospect family. Through this process we have worked alongside local government officials and social workers to determine the state of the home. If after multiple visits and investigation, there is no sign of any abuse, and the child was truly given up due to financial means then we will move forward in the process. We assess the ways the prospect family is most vulnerable and also what strengths they possess. For example, if there is a family that is at risk for homelessness or not safe due to lack of secure shelter, we recognize that we can employ the father of another family (whom we support and need to help find work) to build their home so that both families are given opportunities or met needs. We explore empowerment opportunities. For example, the same family mentioned (whom needed new shelter) is living in a remote village with more children in the home than adults. These adults do not have childcare, so they need a work opportunity that allows them to stay home. Breeding livestock to sell to villagers in their area is an option. We train the family towards a particular job. We also educate them on how to breed animals and how to save a little and make a little. This is also part of the process where we help with the emotional and mental state of poverty the best that we can. We know this is more than a process or program but also a state of mind. Once we start the fourth step, we begin supplying the family with supplemental aid. Monthly the family will receive 2 meals per day, basic necessities such as bathing soap, laundry detergent, and dish soap. We will also help with school when possible. Our hope is that within 6 months to a year the family will be restored in more ways than one. They will be empowered through work, healthier through the food aid, and together! Through every point prior to this point, we will have behaved and speak in a way that reflects the light of Jesus. At this point, we disciple them on the love of Jesus.Family #1: 2 children, 2 adultsFamily #2: 3 children, 2 adultsFamily #3: 3 children, 2 adultsFamily #4: 5 children, 3 adults Family #5: 3 children, 2 adultsFamily #6: 10 children, 1 adultFamily #7: 4 children, 2 adults

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActyOtherGrp/Desc0Part III Statement of Program Accomplishments MEDICAL OUTREACH PROGRAM:SCHs newest program was implemented for the first time in the summer of 2018. We want to restore and provide hope for those who feel and live in brokenness. From our Family Empowerment program to our Child Sponsorship program, we know that all this can be acknowledged through various opportunities such as emotional, mental, etc. support. We know that this commitment certainly extends over to medical, vision, and dental care. Each patient that leaves the clinics provided with medication when necessary, plan of next steps or follow up if necessary, encouragement and also prayer. We want everyone that we see to fell and know the love of Jesus. We have had many individuals come to salvation before leaving the clinic! Most of Haitis poor do not have conventional healthcare available to them. The resulting health problems in conjunction with the lack of services causes a countless number of deaths. People with treatable illness simply do not survive because of the lack of medical aid. Knowing this, we are working tirelessly to implement a program that would provide healthcare for the poorest of the poor. At the Second Chance Haiti Redemption Retreat Center, we plan to serve the countrys most disadvantaged through a clinic that could include emergency medical, vision, and dental clinic.Haiti Medical Statistics1. 96% of Haitian population lacks basic health coverage and regular access to health care.2. More than 90% of Haitian children living in rural areas have worms or parasites that make them sick.3. Aids, parasitic/infectious disease, typhoid, and tuberculosis are the leading causes of death in Haiti.4. Children are still suffering and some dying from chronic malnutrition. 5. Nearly 50% of the population does not have access to clean drinking water.Second Chance Haitis Medical Outreach Program Statistics:1. Provided surgery and all medical attention for a 4-year-old girl.2. Provided special medical care to 7 children in need.3. Provided hygiene lessons to 1,000 people.4. Provided medical attention to 908 people.5. Dispensed medication to 727 people in need.6. Provided glasses to 150 adults.7. Provided hygiene lessons to 1,000 people.8. Provided over 200 children/adults with toothbrushes and toothpaste.9. Provided daily vitamins to the 23 of our most malnourished children in an orphanage every day for an entire year.
