We seek to change the way people think about food, its production and consumption/../ We focus on children because they are more open to learn and they will inherit the future/../ We design, install, manage and teach aquaponics and horticulture systems at public and private schools, institutions for incarcerated youth, and community gardens as a basis for hands-on, (STEAM) based, interdisciplinary learning to educate individuals on how to grow fresh produce and fish while gaining a deeper understanding of how food production and food choices can impact our environment, our economy and individual health/../

Operations are focused within, schools prisons and community based organizations that emphasise health, nutrition, sustainable urban farming and ecological stewardship/../ During 2016 our measured accomplishments are;/../ 272 Students and inmates impacted /../ 50 educators and operators trained in 2 Aquaponic workshops/../ 180 participants in 6 community presentations /../ 2500 pounds of garden produce, 2750 units of leafy greens and approx 300 pounds of fresh fish were produced from system and gardens we have build and/or operate. This harvest has been used by students and their families and supplemented local food banks./../. We established and operated two new community soil gardens that supply produce to neighborhood families and demonstrated a variety of ecologically sound and sustainable gardening methods and practices. |
