IN MARCH OF 2020, WE HAD 22 RESIDENTS OF WHOM 19 WERE EMPLOYED. THE STATE OF ARIZONA IMPLEMENTED STAY AT HOME ORDERS MID-MARCH. AS A RESULT, 3 RESIDENTS TERMINATED THEIR RESIDENCY WITH TREASURE HOUSE TO BE CLOSER TO FAMILY. 2 OF THESE RESIDENTS WERE FROM OUT OF STATE. ALL BUT 3 RESIDENTS LOST THEIR JOBS AND OUR COMMUNITY INTEGRATION PROGRAMS AND SERVICES WERE FROZEN. OUR TEAM QUICKLY IMPLEMENTED INCREASED SANITATION EFFORTS, 100% WORK MASKS, ON-LINE GROCERY SHOPPING, IN-HOUSE FITNESS CLASSES, INCREASED IN-HOUSE ACTIVITIES ETC. THOSE RESIDENTS WHO WERE ENROLLED IN COLLEGE SHIFTED TO ONLINE COURSE WORK WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF THE LIFE COACHING STAFF. TREASURE HOUSE QUALIFIED FOR THE PPP LOAN IN JUNE 2020 WHICH WAS FORGIVEN IN DECEMBER 2020. ONCE THE STAY-AT-HOME ORDER WAS LIFTED, 7 NEW RESIDENTS MOVED IN. AT YEAR END, TREASURE HOUSE HAD REACHED A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 29 RESIDENTS. OUR BUILDING REMAINED CLOSED TO ALL VISITORS EXCEPT FOR PARENTS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE CALENDAR YEAR. NO RESIDENTS HAVE CONTRACTED COVID-19.FUNDRAISING WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR THE LAST 9 MONTHS OF 2020. THIS WAS DUE TO OUR INABILITY TO BE OUT IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPING RELATIONSHIPS. SEVERAL FOUNDATIONS/CORPORATIONS DID NOT PROVIDE GRANTS AS WAS CUSTOMARY AS THE RESULT OF THE DOWNTURN IN THE ECONOMY.
