Mission

Uan is a catalyst for building strong, safe, and healthy afterschool/out- of-school time programs to support youth, families, and communities. Uan has three main objectives. First, to create a sustainable structure of statewide, regional, and local partnerships. Particularly school-community partnerships, focused on supporting policy development at all levels. Second, to support the development and growth of statewide policies that will secure the resources that are needed to sustain new and existing school linked/school-based afterschool programs. Third, to support statewide systems to ensure programs are of high quality.

FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Uan is a catalyst for building strong, safe, and healthy afterschool/out- of-school time programs to support youth, families, and communities. Uan has three main objectives. Second, to support the development and growth of statewide policies that will secure the resources that are needed to sustain new and existing school linked/school-based afterschool programs. Third, to support statewide systems to ensure programs are of high quality.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

Restructured the organization to include a director of operations and hired a new executive director. Provided a suite of professional training events and saw 45% increase of participant registration at our annual statewide conference called jump start (over 500 attendees) participation and 75% increase of participant registration our regional workshops recharge (461 attendees). Our professional training events offer workshops and classes for for afterschool professionals, educators, emerging leaders and program administrators. Throughout the conference, attendees have opportunities to expand their knowledge of afterschool programming, network with others in the field, and learn new strategies to help improve youth outcomes.

Management evaluated the organizations tax positions and concluded that the organization had taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the financial statements to comply with the provisions of this guidance.
