Trinity Place, Inc. adopted the provision under ASC Topic 740, Income Taxes, that clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an entity's financial statements and prescribes a recognition threshold and measurement attribute for the financial statement disclosure of tax positions taken or expected to be taken on a tax return. Trinity Place, Inc. evaluates uncertain tax positions, if any exist, under this provision. Trinity Place, Inc. accounts for uncertainty of income taxes based on a "more-likely-than-not" threshold for the recognition and de-recognition of tax positions, which includes the accounting for interest and penalties relating to tax positions. Trinity Place, Inc. currently does not have any tax positions that it would consider uncertain.
