KSBJ's mission is to be the Voice of Hope Connecting People to God, and we accomplish that mission through our on-air broadcasting, our mentoring program, our community outreach, and our prayer initiatives. Because we are listener-supported, we are able to concentrate on creating the kind of radio that ministers to and encourages our listeners. Our programming is designed to fill the airwaves (both traditional and digital) with messages of the faith, hope, and love we have in Jesus Christ. Our volunteers, board of directors (also volunteers), and staff hold each other to high standards and live out our core values daily. It takes an army of volunteers to support the ministry of KSBJ. We utilized approximately 2,670 volunteers giving over 11,100 hours of their time in various roles throughout the year. KSBJ Broadcasting: KSBJ broadcasting is taking the message of hope found in a relationship with Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. We broadcast to an average audience of over 800,000 listeners on a weekly basis in Houston and the surrounding gulf coast region. Our web streaming (www.ksbj.org and www.ngenradio.com) and mobile apps provide a way for people to listen anywhere in the world on any device with internet access. We receive numerous calls, emails, social media posts (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), etc. from all over the world with people sharing how much encouragement and hope the ministry is giving them. Here are just a couple of examples of the emails we receive: "When I started listening to KSBJ, my life was messy. Just a few months ago, my life really fell apart. My husband got hurt at work, we were denied unemployment, he was fired from his job and I had to go to work to keep things together. I had been out of the job market for almost 9 years. But even with all the messiness of our life, KSBJ has made such a difference. The music keeps me positive. We love saying the Lord's prayer during Pray Down at High Noon. The Prayer boards have been wonderful also. I got so much love and prayers when I would post and it was encouraging to hear other peoples praises. I don't know what I would have done if I had not heard KSBJ that day back in January. I am 1400 miles from friends and family and it has been a hard time getting use to Texas and Houston.
