Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 1A

Authority delegated to any committee, to the extent provided in resolution of the board, except authority to: a) fill vacancies in any committee; b) fix the compensation of the directors for serving on the board or on any committee; c) amending or repealing bylaws or adopting new bylaws; d) amending or repealing any resolution of the board which, by its express terms, is not amenable or repealable; and e) appointing new committee(s) of the board or members to new or existing committees.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 11B

The president and ceo, along with designated senior staff, review the form 990 before it is signed and filed. Any questions related to its contents are resolved before filing.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

All possible conflicts of interest of directors, officers and key employees are brought to the attention of the ceo to explore and report to the board if the conflict merits further investigation or action.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15A

The board sets the president and ceo's compensation and is guided by periodic sector-wide compensation studies which reflect industry norms and standards.

Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 15B

The board's compensation committee makes recommendations regarding compensation levels for board members and officers in consultation with the president and ceo. Those recommendations are then reviewed, amended as needed, and then adopted by the board. Compensation for key employees is set by the president and ceo in keeping with industry standards for the sector in general and think tanks in particular.

FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

Scholarly research for framing the public discourse about social problems. Its mission is driven by the belief that there are scientifically- valid ways to engage people in thinking about complex socio-political issues; its research is aimed at essential aspects of good social science storytelling that help experts do the work of real public engagement.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

Frameworks institute has adopted the accounting of uncertainty in income taxes as required by the income taxes topic of the financial accounting standards board (fasb) accounting standards codification (asc). Frameworks institute has analyzed its tax positions, and has concluded that no liability for unrecognized tax benefits should be recorded related to uncertain tax positions taken on returns filed for open tax years (2011- 2012), or expected to be taken in its 2013 return. Frameworks institute is not aware of any tax positions for which it believes that there is a reasonable possibility that the total amounts of unrecognized tax benefits will change materially in the next twelve months.

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0FRAMEWORKS INSTITUTE HAS ADOPTED THE ACCOUNTING OF UNCERTAINTY IN INCOME TAXES AS REQUIRED BY THE INCOME TAXES TOPIC OF THE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING STANDARDS BOARD (FASB) ACCOUNTING STANDARDS CODIFICATION (ASC).
