Fort Sanders Foundation raises and distributes funds in support of patient care, equipment, programs, services and staff not otherwise funded by Covenant Health and its affiliates. The Foundation's mission is to provide charitable support for Covenant Health's mission to serve the community by improving the quality of life through better health.

These gifts-in-kind included both items donated for use at an annual auction fundraiser as well as patient care/support items donated for direct use by Hope Center clients. The Hope Center was established in 1996 to address the unmet needs of patients infected with HIV/AIDS in Knox and the surrounding counties. It provides supportive care programs at no charge to inpatients, outpatients, and families affected by HIV. The Center relies entirely on charitable gifts and donations for its existence. In the last 18 years, more than 2,600 individuals and their families have received supportive services at no charge. |
