After volunteers read to a group of at-risk youth, they give each child their own, personalized book to take home. The number of children served by bookworks during the past year was 41,591.”

These programs assist individuals with disabilities as well as those who face other disadvantages such as lack of training or education. Total clients served 62,097. Here is a story of one of our many clients: theresa entered goodwills life skills development program for adults with disabilities after her mom passed away. At 50 years old, it was a pivotal point in her life. She progressed from processing donations at a goodwill donation center to working every day at a goodwill superstore. She consistently exceeds expectations in a variety of tasks. In 2019, for the first time ever, theresa is living independently in her own apartment. Because i have a disability, it makes me feel so good when people know i can do things”
