A draft copy of the form 990 was reviewed by key accounting staff and senior management. Each person individually reviewed the form (including schedules) and submitted questions or comments to management as necessary. Questions and comments were resolved appropriately to the satisfaction of the foundation's coo. The form 990 (including schedules) was then reviewed and approved by the audit committee of the board of directors prior to submission. The final form was provided to the entire board of directors at a scheduled meeting. Comments and suggested changes were incorporated into a subsequent draft of the form 990. The final draft of the form 990 was presented to the full board of directors prior to submission.”

PART OF OUR ADVOCACY PROGRAM ALSO INCLUDES THE ARTHRITIS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS WITH MEMBERS OF CONGRESS THROUGH ADVOCACY TRAINING AND RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT. A NEW FOCUS OF THE ADVOCACY PROGRAM IS ACTIVE ENGAGEMENT BY OUR ADVOCATES IN POLICYMAKING AT THE STATE LEVEL.
