“Membership in the association is open to any person interested in history. Only members in good standing shall have the right to vote or hold office in the association. The council of the association may also elect honorary members of the association.”

“In june of 2018, the aha offered the first annual department chairs' workshop in chicago. Experienced chairs lead sessions and hosted collaborative breakout conversations addressing a wide range of issues specific to chairing in the discipline across a variety of institutional contexts. Thirty-nine department chairs and six facilitators attended the two day event. The workshop was considered a great success and the aha is in the process of planning the 2019 chairs' workshop.”
