The united states cyber challenge (uscc) program enhances the private and public sector workforce by identifying and helping to develop the next generation of cyber security professionals through skills development activities, mentoring and the facilitation of internship and employment opportunites. The uscc program uses technology to provide cyber security talent identification; development of tools, games and competitions to further enhance the skills and expertise of the talent identified; and for increasing public awareness and interest in the national u.s. Activity 3

The security benchmarks program helps organizations improve their information technology security posture by reducing risks resulting from inadequate technical security controls. To accomplish this objective, the benchmarks program facilitates the consensus-based development of: (1) best practice standards for security configuration; (2) tools for measuring information security status and (3) resources for making informed decisions on security investments.
