The federation is part of the global fair trade movement, building equitable and sustainable trading partnerships and creative opportunities to alleviate poverty. “Publications educating about and promoting fully committed fair trade: in 2017 the federation worked to educate consumers and retailers on the value of 360 degree fair trade brands by creating both print and online publications. They included a holiday gift guide and a handmade guide for canada. The federation also published the fair trade stores & cafe guide which was distributed nationally. Finally, the federation distributed retailer facing postcards and exhibitor lists at major gift and trade shows and created original posters, stickers, and temporary tattoos for world fair trade day, also distributed nationally.”
