ETA's stated mission is to fully serve its members and advance their profession by providing leadership through education, advocacy and the exchange of information.

Major Activities

Activity 2
Publications and communicationstransaction trends (circulation 7700) is the official publication of eta, providing thoughtful, in-depth reporting on the electronic payments ecosystem. Eta currents (electronic circulation 8800) is an executive summary of current, innovative and relevant topics in the payments industry. The web site traffic remained consistent at an annual rate of 531,674 page views and an average of 15,000 visitors per month, with peaks associated with the annual meeting and strategic leadership forum events.
Activity 3
Education and credentialingpre-conferences events, april 16-17, 2012, las vegas, nveta held a number of pre-conference events on specialized topic areas in conjunction with its 2013 annual meeting and expo. These events included compliance day (109 attendees), the investment community forum (139 attendees), and mobile and connected commerce (103 attendees).eta compliance day - november 14, 2012, dallas, txeta's compliance day attracted 46 attendees to learn about the emerging world of mobile payments and the risk and compliance challenges surrounding the mobile marketplace.eta silicon valley - nov. 15, 2012 san francisco, cathe inaugural event attracted 75 attendees from new, high-tech payment companies and executives from traditional payment businesses. Sessions featured high level discussions about the future of the payments industry.eta university eta provided cutting-edge, live and online educational seminars that enhanced knowledge in a wide variety of topics relating to electronic payments to 224 participants. Web-based certificate courses were interactive, engaging and enabled members to fit high-level learning into their busy schedules. Webinarsin 2012, eta offered six live and on-demand webinars that provided interactive and media-rich presentations on current and hot topics in the electronic payments industry. The webinars attracted 314 participants and were presented via a web-based tool with an audio component as well. Credentialing the eta cpp program sets the standard for professional performance in the payments industry and is a symbol of excellence. Eta ccps must demonstrate mastery not only of sales, but of pricing and interchange; business process, operations and workflow; products and solutions; risk; and regulatory, compliance and security matters as well. In 2012, eta had a total of 309 first time examinees and a total of 43 re-examinees, resulting in 308 passes. At the end of 2012, the total number of eta cpps was 493.
