“The board members are provided a copy of the form 990 in draft form for their review and comment prior to it being filed.”
“Board members annually review a copy of the conflict of interest and compensation policy and sign it in order to register their familiarity with these documents. Each officer and director of project cure is required to annually fill out a questionnaire that asks various yes or no questions that will trigger disclosure of any conflicts of interest. Each officer and director is also required to identify annually all entities they and/or their relatives own or in which they have an ownership interest. The organization makes it a policy not to use any related parties as vendors.”
“Project cure only employs the president, mr. Evers. His compensation is approved by the independent board members. The objective of the independent board members, in accord with the compensation policy, is to ensure that the compensation is ordinary and reasonable in light of the prevailing market for compensation paid to similarly skilled and experienced ceos by organizations which are comparable to project cure. The board also factors in the many years of experience mr. Evers has in this industry and the fact that he is an attorney in good standing, admitted to the bars of alabama and texas. The compensation is then determined to be a reasonable amount based on all the factors considered.”

To that end, the organization supports the work of the national institute of health's center for complementary and integrative health and promotes awareness of its efforts to conduct sound research to determine which of these unconventional modalities have merit. The organization educates consumers, health professionals, and policy makers about the value, safety and efficacy of alternative and complementary modalities to facilitate optimal health and to prevent and treat disease. The organization employs a vast array of communication tools in furtherance of this mission, including letters, emails, phone calls, reports, brochures, e-books, pdf downloads, websites and social media. The organization lobbies lawmakers and policymakers by keeping them informed of developments on the research front and seeking increased funding for such research. The organization monitors proposed legislation and rulemakings to identify opportunities and threats to complementary and alternative health issues. The organization also monitors the activities of those who oppose increased access to such therapies and educates consumers about their existence. The organization networks and coordinates with other like-minded groups when appropriate, and participates in coalitions and alliances to further its goal of increasing access to the full range of prevention and treatment strategies to manage health and well-being. Our four primary programs, devoted to alzheimer's disease, diabetes, prostate cancer and integrative cancer treatment & prevention, are reaching millions of americans with evidence-based scientific information so they can make more informed decisions about using therapies that are currently considered "non-mainstream."”
