Environmental and Energy Study Institute

Eesi was formed more than 30 years ago as an independent not-for-profit organization by a bipartisan group of members of congress, including founder and board member, former representative richard ottinger (d-ny), who identified a need for policymakers to have greater access to fact-based information on energy and environmental issues, and created eesi to fill it. Today, eesi continues to be a trusted source of non-partisan information and innovative, common-sense approaches to energy, climate, transportation, and related policies. As part of its work, eesi conducts congressional briefings, produces fact sheets, and publishes free weekly newsletters ("climate change news and "sustainable bioenergy, farms, and forest").
