It is reviewed by the cfo prior to completion and a final draft is sent to board members in advance of filing with a cover memo highlighting key information and changes from the prior year.

The organization requires all trustees and key executive personnel to complete a conflict of interest questionnaire annually. The completed questionnaires are reviewed by the compliance director who summarizes the reported conflicts. This information is then presented to the ceo and to the chairman of the board for review. Conflicts are reported at board meetings as appropriate.

In january 2014, way station, inc. Was awarded a federal research grant for five years to enroll 2,000 youth and their families in a very intensive case management and vocational intervention program.

Financial Statement Notes

PART IV, LINE 2B:

The organization acts as social security representative payee for certain clients, and also helps certain clients to manage their personal funds as part of a money management program. These funds are maintained in separate, segregated bank accounts. The organization maintains a cash account and an equivalent current liability account on its balance sheet, representing the total of client funds held on clients' behalf in the representative payee and money management bank accounts.

PART X, LINE 2:

The company accounts for tax provisions in accordance with financial accounting standards board (fasb) accounting standards codification (asc) subtopic 740-10, accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, which creates a single model to address uncertainty in tax positions and clarifies the accounting for income taxes by prescribing the minimum recognition threshold a tax position is required to meet before being recognized in the financial statements. Under the requirements of asc subtopic 740-10, tax-exempt organizations could be required to record an obligation as the result of a tax position they have historically taken on various tax exposure items. Way station has determined that it does not have any uncertain tax positions as of june 30, 2014 and 2013.
