Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 4

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7A

The american automobile association, inc. Selects six of the 12 trustees on the board of trustees.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11B

Form 990 is reviewed by the foundation's audit committee and board of trustees prior to submission.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12C

The board of trustees, committees, and the aaa foundation for traffic safety associates are asked to read the foundation's policy on potential conflicts of interest and execute a form identifying any possible conflict of interest on an annual basis. The foundation executive director, and senior foundation managers keep this policy in mind when all potential contracts are being negotiated. The process is overseen by independent audit team.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15

A comprehensive study of compensation and benefits, which was conducted by the mercer company in 2014, was used to benchmark the executive director's compensation, along with all associates. The foundation's administrative committee has formalized the process by which executive director's performance is measured and compensation established. That new process was instituted in april of 2015.

Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 18

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: ALL RESEARCH REPORTS AND FINDINGS PRODUCED BY THE AAA FOUNDATION ARE AVAILABLE ONLINE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, FREE OF CHARGE. ADDITIONALLY, THE FOUNDATION PRODUCES COMPLEMENTARY MATERIALS FOR EACH PROJECT SO THAT VISITORS TO THE WEBSITE CAN FIND KEY TAKEAWAYS FROM EACH STUDY. THESE MAY INCLUDE FACT SHEETS, RESEARCH BRIEFS, INFOGRAPHICS, ETC. ALTHOUGH AAA FOUNDATION'S ONLINE STORE PERMANENTLY CLOSED IN 2016, FEW REMAINING TRAFFIC SAFETY EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS ARE STILL AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC UPON REQUEST, AT NO COST.
