Activity 2

Services for disabled people provide an array of services and support for people with developmental disabilities in 50 homes and 3 day programs. In FY12, the services provided included: residential services to 264 individuals including 24-hour supervised care, assisted living and specialized care for the frail and elderly; vocational services to 163 individuals through supervised work environments, pre-vocational and vocational training and supported employment; and nursing and medical services, habilitation, occupational therapy, art and music therapy, and recreational activities to 74 individuals.

Activity 3

Community Services programs provide for people impacted by poverty with shelter, transitional housing and/or job readiness or life skills workshops to homeless individuals or families. In FY12 these programs provided: approximately 273,500 meals to families and individuals in need, averaging 749 people per day; casework and emergency services to 8,025 individuals; job skills training to 1,034 individuals and job placement assistance to 312 individuals; day shelter, lifeskills workshops, resources, shower and laundry facilities to 938 women and children and served 69,158 meals; shelter, transitional housing, case management, employment and follow-up services to 830 adults and children; independent living assistance to 117 formerly homeless men; and housing to 14 formerly homeless, disabled men in single room occupancy housing units.
