| IRS990/Desc | 0 | Family Services programs provide a continuum of behavioral health and special education services to children and their families ranging from counseling to intensive residential treatment. In FY17 these programs: operated a special education school that served 164 children where 93% of these students made progress in their reading, math, and/or social-emotional goals based on pre- and post-test results ; assisted 65 children in the transition from a residential setting to a less restrictive, family home environment with community-based behavioral health supports; assisted over 9,000 individuals with behavioral health services with 83% of young adults and 68% of adults showing an improvement in their mental health; and assisted 128 families with international adoptions, 250 families with kinship caregiver support, and 47 children in treatment foster care. Gallagher Services provided support for 250 adults with developmental disabilities in 50 homes throughout our community. Gallagher Services also offered a medical day program, volunteer work and employment programs for 207 individuals. Many Gallagher individuals are presently participating in training programs, classes and partnerships to live the life of their choice. Safe Streets conducted 283 conflict mediations (violence interruptions) in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood. Without these mediations these interactions likely would have resulted in gun violence. |
