| IRS990/Desc | 0 | Family Services programs provide a continuum of behavioral health and special education services to children and their families ranging from counseling to intensive residential treatment. In FY16 these programs: operated two special education schools where 55% (105 of 192) achieved a reduction in problematic behaviors and 65% (124 of 192) students demonstrated one year or more increase in reading test scores ; assisted 97 children in the transition from a residential setting to a less restrictive environment and 60 children in the transition from a residential setting to living with a family member; provided more than 26,000 mental health assessments, crisis interventions and treatment sessions for children and families; and assisted 75 families with international adoptions, 244 families with pregnancy, parenting, and post-adoption services, 133 families with kinship caregiver support, and 69 children in treatment foster care. Gallagher Services provided support for people with developmental disabilities in 50 homes and 3 day programs. In FY16 these programs: operated vocational, supported employment and habilitation services for 175 individuals; provided adult medical day services for 33 people who require special daytime care; and were home to 246 people who live in the community and share the joys of family. |
