“Describe the organization's program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title. Voterise was created to expand civic engagement among utah's 18-29 year-olds and other under-represented groups. 2018 was an outstanding year for voterise with over 13,200 total registrations, which amounted to more than 25% of utah's 40,000 new registrations. Voterise trained 600 volunteers who powered our registration events with a total of 2,300 hours of volunteer time. Millennial registration campaign: voterise organized and/or participated in 265 events, 90 of which were at utah high schools and utah college and university campuses which included in-classroom presentations and development of peer-to-peer registration drives at high schools. Others included community events; entertainment, sporting and lifestyle event; and onsite workplace registration. We continued to work with many other nonprofit and community organizations such as: league of women voters; mormon women for ethical government; comunidades unidas, voto latino, national tongan american society utah; league of native american voters; utah pride center; disability law center of utah, action utah and more. Our cost-per-registration was 6.56, 45% below the national average. Voterise 2020 challenge: 2016 u.s. Census voting data showed that there were almost 300,000 women in utah who were citizens but not registered to vote. 2020 will be a historic year for women's voting with the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment and especially in utah where the territorial legislature passed a bill unanimously on february 12, 1870 to grant women the right to vote. That was followed by the first vote by women in the modern united states two days later in a salt lake city municipal election. 2020 is also the 55th anniversary of the passage of the voting rights act in 1965 which prohibited racial discrimination in voting. Voterise created the 2020 challenge to target utah's sizeable number of eligible-but-unregistered women and include in that 16-17 year old girls who are eligible to pre-register to vote by enlisting 1,000 ambassadors (primarily women but male allies as well) to each commit to registering a minimum of 20 women. A beta test in the fall of 2018 proved the viability of the concept and a full launch was planned for spring 2019. Get-out-the vote campaign: voter registration is one critical step in engaging citizens in the electoral process. Turning registrants into voters is our ultimate goal. For both the 2018 primaries and the general election, voterise conducted a get-out-the-vote campaign targeted at our registrant database via text and email messaging. This provided them with specific information about their districtsraces, candidates, ballot initiatives, judicial choices, and all logistic information about voting: early voting, mail-in voting, ballot drop-offs and in-person voting. Reconciliation of our registrants with state voter files was done by independent voter report which is affiliated with circlecenter for information and research on civic learning and engagement.at tufts university. As was the case in 2016, voterise's voter turnout percentage for 2018 was 75% which is considered excellent.”

AS WAS THE CASE IN 2016, VOTERISE'S VOTER TURNOUT PERCENTAGE FOR 2018 WAS 75% WHICH IS CONSIDERED EXCELLENT. |
