Form 990, Page 6, Part VI, Line 12C

Annually, each board member completes a conflict of interest form. FORM 990 - ORGANIZATION'S MISSION

All leaders must serve (alms) is a job readiness program formed to empower young adults from 15-25 years of age by instilling purpose, character, work ethics and the desire to give back to their community as self-sufficient adults through the service of mentors.

Form 990, Page 1, Part I, Line 6

Volunteers serve as mentors to young adults.

Form 990, Page 2, Part III, Line 4A

All leaders must serve (alms) trained and worked with 9 mentor volunteers, which included some board members. The remaining board members and other volunteers came to an additional 5 with a total of 14 volunteers that were active during 2018. The accomplishments of alms from january 2018 to december 2018 include a spring, summer and fall semester in the following schools: - cache creek high school (male and female classes) - cesar chavez community school (female - spring and summer programs) - pioneer high school pilot (female) - woodland adult education evening classes, which included an alumni group alms served cesar chavez' foster youth in the summer months and provided peer-to-peer mentors during the school year. One student receive prenatal training and services as alms' americorps member provided support from school to the pregnancy support group and continued support and training throughout the summer months to the young single mother. Alms served a total of 50 young adults with the following results: - stayed in school = 25 (50%) - graduated = 11 (primarily from cache creek high school) - employed = 10 (all are still employed after 6 months) - only 4 are not accounted for alms was able to address the "direct to client" needs such as barriers that hinder young adults from entering the workforce successfully. Some of the assistance went to provide transportation, child care, housing, food, supplies and counseling for emotional trauma. Alms served young adults who were single moms, homeless, unemployed out of school, disabled and those with trauma symptoms of anxiety and depression. The 2018 annual dinner with the stars educated approximately 140 business executives and educators, including but not limited to city council members, dignity health, yolo health and human services, rise, woodland community college, yolo county office of education, casa, empower yolo, woodland adult education and many more, as they listened to the testimonies of three student alumni share their personal stories. The dinner is put on by the participants of alms with youth greeting, seating, serving, and also as the mc and speakers of the evening. The 2018 speakers included: - an in school foster youth who struggled with drugs, but found his way out and is currently employed. - out-of-school aged dropout preparing to graduate in 2019 at woodland adult education. He has been working since the winter of 2017 with the help of alms. - graduate of cache creek hs, an alms alumni since 2016 and recent graduate of job corps in sacramento as a medical assistant. She is currently working and seeking employment in her field of interest. Approximately 46% of the young adults who participate in the program stay in contact with alms after graduation. Out of the alumni group, a small percentage gather weekly for a study in "the six most important decisions you will every make" by sean covey. This alumni group shares a meal, a lesson and is facilitated by an alumni with the assistance of an adult mentor.
