“In the midst of the ongoing global pandemic, and in an abundance of caution, launchbio continued to host virtual events with a few in-person events where safe. In 2021 launchbio hosted a total of 37 educational events. Twenty-three of those were national webinars, eleven were webinar workshops and three were in-person events. For all events launchbio had a total of 4,242 registrations with an average attendance rate of 60% and 35% of all registrants were entrepreneurs. Launchbio events, which were historically regional, now offer a national platform for our partners and sponsors. Attendees have the option to interact with speakers by submitting questions before and during the event. We saw continued interaction and follow up online networking between life science entrepreneurs and industry experts. Launchbio is committed to being the industry leader in connecting, educating and supporting life's science innovators across the country. Maintaining quality control was a top priority in a virtual environment, both to differentiate ourselves from competitors and to continue to engage our audience and provide meaningful interactions. In 2021 launchbio continued our popular, "let's talk about" series where topics of diversity and inclusion within life sciences were discussed. De&i not only translates to a more equitable future but also helps startups create company cultures that will serve them as they grow. In the summer of 2021 launchbio hosted an annual pitch completion attracting 240 attendees and featuring high-growth, high-potential startups from across the country. A panel of investor judges choose a winner and the audience had a chance to weigh in on their favorite pitch as well. In-kind-donations were given as the prize aiding in the startups path to success. All of our on-line webinars are archived on vimeo giving our community the opportunity to revisit the educational material. In total we received 23,976 impressions, 1,440 total views, 837 unique visitors and 41 downloads. The top performing video was our january 28th webinar, "compensation confidential".”
