“Creative lives operates a successful afterschool "lab" site at white river school in white river junction, vt. In 2015 the program directly served over 150 children and families through daily afterschool programming, community wide events, and school day collaborations. The program serves as a primary site to develop applications of a 'framework for wise education', including teacher and parent training classes and curriculum for youth. Students at creative lives afterschool programs cultivate inner and inter- personal skills, strategies for maintaining emotional equilibrium, focus and decision making skills, develop their creative ideas and expression, and share collaborative projects and events with their community. In march 2015, creative lives began planning to expand the creative lives afterschool programs to a new, high-need site in barre, vermont at barre city elementary and middle school. The barre site will open its doors in the fall of 2016.”
