In 2020, worklife partnership's resource and health benefits navigator programs helped 1,782 hardworking employees find greater stability. We partnered with 37 employers in 12 industries to provide support and resources to their employees. We connected employees with 260,000 in direct cash assistance for housing, food and nutrition, healthcare, transportation, and childcare. After working with a worklife navigator, 95% of workers said they are now in a better place, 74% said they were less stressed, and 86% said they feel better prepared to handle a similar situation in the future. More than half of the workers we supported in 2020 were experiencing some level of stress, with 36% experiencing stress significant enough to impact their work and home lives; more than half of workers reported experiencing mental/behavioral health concerns; and just under 50% reported that they were unable to pay either some or most of their household bills. In 2020, worklife's health benefits navigator worked one-on-one with nearly 100 workers helping them navigate their benefits, medical bills, and the health care system, saving workers more than 150 hours. Before working with worklife's health benefits navigator, 58% of workers had health insurance but did not think it was the best choice, 39% did not understand their health insurance, 45% had medical bills, and 20% had medical debt that they could not afford. In 2020, worklife's small dollar loan program lent 293,000 to colorado workers, with an average loan amount of 979, and only a 1% default rate. Worklife small dollar loan borrowers were impacted by the pandemic at a rate of 74% and 54% of borrowers said that our loan deterred them from getting a payday loan. After getting a loan, 94% of borrowers said they are in a better place financially and 91% said they felt less stressed.

The organization follows accounting for uncertainty in income taxes which requires them to determine whether a tax position (and the related tax benefit) is more likely than not to be sustained upon examination by the applicable taxing authority, based solely on the technical merits of the position. The tax benefit to be recognized is measured as the largest amount of benefit that is greater than fifty percent likely of being realized upon settlement, presuming that the tax position is examined by the appropriate taxing authority that has full knowledge of all relevant information. During year ended december 31, 2020, the organization's management evaluated its tax positions to determine the existence of uncertainties, and did not note any matters that would require recognition or which may have an affect on its tax-exempt status.
