IRS990/Desc0CDTC completed fifteen volunteer events and supported over 350 volunteers who contributed over 13,390 volunteer hours of labor and added four new partnerships to its work. CDTC hosted five Trail Adopter trainings and had fifty new CDTC Trail Adopters in 2022. CDTC continued work to support forest plan revisions across the CDT and including the Carson, Santa Fe, Cibola National Forests. CDTC hired a New Mexico Policy Fellow and began working to understand the impact of renewable energy development along the southern New Mexico CDT Landscapes. CDTC began developing relationships with Tribal Communities to support Trailhead kiosk design and installation across the Carson National Forest and finalized a trailhead Kiosk on BLM lands near Muddy Pass, CO. CDTC continued to strengthen relationships across the communities through which the CDT Traverses and CDTC participated in eight proposed agency projects affecting the CDT, CDTC continued work with the America the Beautiful Effort and is a founding member of the America the Beautiful American the Beautiful Coalition to move forward 30 x 30 goals with a lens on community led efforts. CDTC continued the effort to complete the Trail with much headway being accomplished in the Muddy Pass Colorado, Manga Valley, NM, and Pie Town NM areas. This include successful finalization for transfer of the NM state Land Easements to the Bureau of Land Management to complete the CDT across NM State lands in New Mexico! CDTC also added a Colorado Fellow position who has helped CDTC support localized community led work to look at Colorado 14er stewardship along the CDT and its impacts on communities, as well as support on the ground planning for the CDT in southern CO.

CDTC supported diverse and inclusive public lands by contributing to Next 100 Colorado's and National efforts including work to support the USFS implementing its Equity Action Plan. CDTC was the host organization for the 2022 Partnership for the National Trails System Trail Training Workshop which brought over 250 people to Albuquerque, NM to spend three days of intensive in depth training to support all aspects of stewardship for our national trails system.

CDTC hosted its third annual virtual Gateway Community Summit with over 50 participants from across the trail. CDTC continued to increase the support of communities and increase consistency of relationships by meeting quarterly with every gateway community and hosting community stewardship and trail fun days. Gateway Community Ambassadors hosted a total of 22 events, contributing over 200 volunteer hours to help over 300 Gateway Community residents access the Continental Divide Trail near their home. CDTC completed marketing materials to support Hidalgo County, NM, in marketing itself as a Gateway to the Continental Divide Trail. CDTC produced and printed local access maps for the communities. CDTC released results of its bi-annual Small Business Survey examining attitudes about the CDT and public lands in communities along the trail. Finally, CDTC supported Salida and Leadville, CO in the design and installation of trail town kiosks celebrating the CDT
