“Line 28 statement of program accomplishments description in full: in 2021- 2022 mcce action supported efforts through a ballot initiative to ban foreign corporate contributions to candidates and to require more transparency for campaign contributions to candidates for municipal offices in maines larger cities. Mcce action also worked to pass a clean elections (public funding) program for municipal candidates in the city of portland. Since 2021 mcce action has been working to amend the municipal charter in the city of portland to provide public campaign financing to candidates for municipal offices.”

“The executive director salary was paid via a common paymaster, a related organization (maine citizens for clean elections, mcce, a 501c3 organization). Mcce action reimbursed 100% of mcce action's portion of ed salaries, taxes,and fringe benefits to maine citizens for clean elections, unless any portion was forgiven (which it wasn't this year). In 2021- 2022, mcce action ed salary was 1% of total ed salary. Given that the salaries were initially paid out of mcce, no w2 was paid out of mcce action.”
