Activity 2

Dislocated workers: each year, hired helps thousands of dislocated workers find new jobs through personalized re-employment and retraining assistance. In our dislocated workers programs, hired serves groups of workers affected by mass layoffs, as well as individual workers who were let go from their jobs due to no fault of their own. A wide range of services are offered in our dislocated worker programs, including: skill assessment, career counseling, resume and job application assistance, interview skills training, job search assistance, networking opportunities, short-term career training and one-to-one assistance to address employment barriers.

Activity 3

Youth: hired's youth services are designed to encourage completion of high school and post-secondary options, and to assist with the development of work habits and career-building skills. Hired helps at-risk young people(including homeless youth, youth offenders, high school drop-outs and youth in foster care) through a personalized approach to career development, leadership training, mentoring, internships, service-learning, and paid employment. Hired assists hundreds of young people in the twin cities area each year through our youth programs.
