See schedule o.living green expomep produced the 2011 living green expo, an annual two-day event with more than 300 workshops, exhibitions, demonstrations and hands-on fun activities. The largest event of its kind in the region, the expo was attended by more than 22,000 people interested in learning how to live better and save money by making healthy and sustainable choices. As producer of the expo, mep fosters new connections between environmental businesses and nonprofits and helps our coalition to inspire environmentally concerned minnesotans to act on their values.

Activity 3

See schedule o.regional service projectscandidate education project: as part of a multi-state effort, mep conducted intensive, nonpartisan outreach to minnesota candidates, providing information on how to communicate about clean energy issues and participating in candidate forums across the state. Mep convened a visioning session among our member partners which generated a comprehensive set of short-term and long-term policy options for decision makers to consider. Mep also conducted 12,000 "get out the vote" phone calls to with a clean energy jobs message.engaging the base project: mep conducted a two-phase project on behalf of eight states to research ways to engage new constituencies in clean energy work. In the first phase, we conducted an inventory of resources available in each state and advised our state partners on how best to get involved. The second phase focused on working with partners in four states to engage them with their local state voices network, and enhancing the tools provided through this network.
