| IRS990/Desc | 0 | SINCE 1986, "AGING WITH INDEPENDENCE" HAS BEEN A CORE NORTHLAND FOUNDATION PRIORITY. WITH THE FULL SUPPORT OF ITS BOARD OF TRUSTEES, THE NORTHLAND FOUNDATION FORMALLY LAUNCHED NORTHLAND ASSISTED LIVING IN 2006. A 20-UNIT RESIDENTIAL STYLE COMMUNITY FOR OLDER ADULTS, "NORTHLAND VILLAGE - MCGREGOR'S ASSISTED LIVING COMMUNITY", OPENED IN APRIL 2007. IN FEBRUARY 2009, A SECOND 20-UNIT DEVELOPMENT OPENED IN BUHL AND A THIRD SITE OPENED IN MAY 2011 IN HOYT LAKES. THESE DEVELOPMENTS HAVE PROVIDED MUCH-NEEDED SENIOR HOUSING WITH SERVICES TO OLDER ADULTS IN UNDERSERVED, RURAL AREAS AND CREATED QUALITY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WITH BENEFITS. NORTHLAND ALSO WORKS TO KEEP RESIDENTS' MONTHLY COSTS AT AN AFFORDABLE LEVEL WITHOUT COMPROMISING QUALITY. WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE BETWEEN PRIVATE PAY RESIDENTS AND THOSE WHO NEED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. |
