“Artspace at untitled is an environment designed to stimulate creative thought and new ideas through contemporary art. We are committed to providing access to quality exhibitions, education programs, performances, publications, and to engage the community in collaborative outreach efforts.”
“Preface: throughout 2020, artspace was committed to reaching out to the community in new ways, as well as working internally to provide a better physical space for makers and students. We introduced a mind map and instigated a strategic plan to clarify our goals and reworked the footprint in several areas of the building to create more salient spaces. Artspace lost a large portion of funding in the year of 2020 and received two ppps to help support our employees salaries (we were committed to not laying off any employees) and assist in paying bills. Both ppps (approx. 20k total) were fully forgiven. 1. The press: the press is a multi-disciplinary printmaking studio that provides the community access to 5 intaglio presses, 1 lithography press with 30 stones, 2 letterpresses, 3 proofing presses, 1 book press, over 200 cases of type, line-o-scribe, foiler, light table, drying racks, flat files, a nuarc exposure unit, darkroom, and washout booth. Up until march, we had local artists, artists- in-residence (air) participants, interns and high school mentorship students utilizing our space daily. Artspace provides classes, workshops, demonstrations, artistic collaborations, and an open studio space for the oklahoma city artist community. 2. Mentorship program: the print studio hosts our mentorship program, which impacts over 120 high school students' every year. The mentorship program exists to transform students lives through art and to prepare them for a dynamic academic and professional future. Each month of the school year, 120 oklahoma city public school students spend one full day in groups of 12 students a month working in our incubator with professional creatives from the community and visiting artists from our two residency programs. Many of these students stay in the program for three years. Our incubator inspires curiosity, creativity, experimentation, innovation, collaboration, and dialogue with the art community under the leadership of the creative and education directors. January through march, our mentorship program was at full pace. We were forced to cancel the mentorship program formally but reopened our doors in late april for the mentorship students to use our facilities under full cdc guidelines and protocol. We formed a safe, creative environment for young artists who were stuck at home during this traumatic event. Artspace was still closed to the public and enacting strict guidelines throughout the year. Our mentorship summer program over stop motion animation was also cancelled, for which we had purchased several ipads for students to use. 3. Air: the artist in residence, air program usually provides four local and two to four national/international visiting artists per year. The air program allows artspace to inject new voices into the community, where dialogue and exchange of ideas result in a learning experience for our mentorship students and artists in the community. In january, we welcomed angelika sowka from poland to join us. In february, hawaiian artist jonathan goebel became a part of our air program as well. These artists have 24/7 access to a living space and studio space. The artists are asked to interact with our mentorship students as well as the local air and community artists through workshops and lectures. Of course, these artists returned to their homes in march and the air program was cancelled for the rest of the year. 4. Community spirits: community spirits is our thursday night programming and is generally related to all exhibits. This program includes lectures, short film series, panel discussions, live music, podcasts and interviews, workshops, classes, and make & take sessions in the print studios. This is all to introduce the community to culture, art, and meaningful discussions. In february, we had talks of iris, and an artist talk with nonney oddlokken. Although we had to cancel city sounds and taste of art, we embraced online programming through zoom to provide the community with”

| IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc | 0 | PREFACE: THROUGHOUT 2020, ARTSPACE WAS COMMITTED TO REACHING OUT TO THE COMMUNITY IN NEW WAYS, AS WELL AS WORKING INTERNALLY TO PROVIDE A BETTER PHYSICAL SPACE FOR MAKERS AND STUDENTS. ALTHOUGH WE HAD TO CANCEL CITY SOUNDS AND TASTE OF ART, WE EMBRACED ONLINE PROGRAMMING THROUGH ZOOM TO PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH |

WE PROVIDE ROUGHLY 30 ARTISTS AT A TIME A PLATFORM TO SELL THEIR WORK. THE HIVE IS ANOTHER WAY ARTSPACE FOLLOWS ITS MISSION BY SPOTLIGHTING LOCAL ARTISANS AND SHARING THEIR WORK WITH THE PUBLIC. BECAUSE THE SHOP WAS CLOSED FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR, WE REWORKED THE FOOTPRINT OF THIS SPACE TO ACCOMMODATE MORE ARTIST WORK.
