“Using grant money from the great lakes commission, there has been work on 2 projects: one is the brush creek project, involving the installation of 2 types of bmp's--cover crops and filter strips--with erosion control structures. Have accomplished the goal of 1,500 acres of cover crops. Second has been the purchase of retro-fitting nutrient placement tools for phosphorus application. The projects run through 2016 and 2018 respectively.”

“Partnership with campbell's soup is in the 8th year of a 10-year effort to assist with elimination of non-point pollution from the maumee river, with a focus on nitrate reduction. Funded projects included installation of cover crops and controlled ag drainage. Fourteen controlled drainage practices were installed covering 678 acres; 125 acres of cover crops were completed.”

“Continued to assist local swcds with a local field day, this year held in fulton county ohio. The theme was "field to lake--soil, science & water working together." additionally, two newsletters were published and sent to a mailing list of over 3,000. Both items provide information regarding advancements in conservation practices and nutrient management.”

“Continued working with tnc on development of a certification process for nutrient management with dealers and farmers known as the 4r program. There are now 25 dealerships certified as 4r compliant, effectively covering over 1,000,000 acres in the western lake erie basin area.”
