Activity 2

Swim, sports & play/health, well-being and wellness - staying active is key to a child's well-being. In 2012, 6,000 kids exerted energy and learned new skills in basketball, soccer, baseball, dancing, gymnastics, martial arts and competitive swimming. - we taught 6,500 youth how to be safer around water through swim programs. - at the y, you can achieve good health, challenge yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, foster connections with friends, or bring your family closer together through our many family-centered activities. Our 30,740 members experienced what we offer - y members are reenergizing their workouts by using our free member benefit, activtrax, to achieve goals and reach for more. Activtrax is an online fitness and nutrition coach that provides customized workouts accessed through branch kiosks, a mobile app, or computer. - cancer survivors improve their quality of life and diminish the severity of therapy side effects through the livestrong at the ymca program. We expanded this program to four branches, where we have created supportive communities for adults to reclaim their physical strength and reduce stress. - we added new and innovative group exercise classes to encourage people to push their limits and connect with others through social support.

Activity 3

Camp campbell gard (ccg) - summer resident camp experiences for more than 800 children taught self- reliance and a love for nature, while developing attitudes and practices that build character and leadership-all amidst the fun of camp fires, canoeing, archery, talent shows, and meaningful relationships. - collaborations with organizations such as the butler county developmental disabilities and the muscular dystrophy association enable youth with special needs to enjoy typical camp experiences alongside their peers. - more than 50 schools from the tri-state area visit ccg to participate in outdoor activities to complement their classroom learning. A favorite experience for youth is the underground railroad.
