The compensation committee met and made the final decision for the President & CEO's salary. THe final outcome of the board's deliberation and decision was documented in an email to the President & CEO or in Minutes of the Board of Directors Meeting.”

“OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Finance- Long-term financial success requires a solid foundation. Through our financial empowerment program, Hispanic Access Foundation provides high-quality, Spanish-language financial education led by trusted experts to address essential topics, including taxes, credit building, banking, wealth accumulation, and long-term planning. In partnership with Thrivent Financial Services, in 2023, we hosted half-day workshops at California church sites, reaching approximately 750 Latino adults. These sessions equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to make informed financial decisions and build a pathway to financial stability. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Community Navigator- Many Latino organizations lack the capacity and resources to access essential funding opportunities and sustain their growth. Our Community Navigator Program bridges this gap, connecting 1,200 Latino-serving, community-based, and Spanish-speaking organizationsparticularly those in high-risk wildfire and climate-impacted areaswith the U.S. Forest Service and its resources. By providing local leaders with access to grant funding, technical and capacity-building support, we empower them to build climate resilience and foster sustainable growth in their communities. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: STEM Education- Latinos remain significantly underrepresented in STEM fields. According to Pew Research, Latino adults are less likely than other groups to earn degrees in STEM. Our Senderos a la Ciencia (Pathways to Science) and Mentoring Project aims to address this gap by conducting bilingual public outreach to Hispanic communities in New London, Connecticut. Featuring inspiring talks by Latino health science and STEM professionals, the program engages high school students in follow-up, near-peer mentoring to encourage their pursuit of STEM careers and cultivate the next generation of Latino STEM leaders. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Nuestros Bosques- Access to urban green spaces and tree canopies plays a critical role in Latino communities well-being and connection to nature. Our Nuestros Bosques (Our Forests) initiative seeks to increase equitable access to urban tree canopies while fostering community involvement in local urban forestry and tree-planting projects. By engaging Latino, Indigenous, and underserved communities, we promote both environmental and public health benefits, as well as local decision-making in urban forestry initiatives.”
