This form 990 was created by the executive director and the 2014 treasurer, was reviewed and approved by the finance committee of the board of directors february 18, 2015, and was reviewed and approved by the board of directors march 3, 2015. The creation and approval process followed the organization's adopted financial policy.

Conflict of interest policy compliance Part VI line 12C

The board of directors and staff annual sign a form acknowledging the conflict of interest policy and declaring any conflicts. Forms were received for all directors and staff. One declared conflict of interest was monitored by the executive director and president and procedure was followed to mitigate, including previous open bid process for contract and executive committee review and approval of the contract with the conflicted director.

The salary range for the executive director was established by the board of directors in 2013 based on a review of the minnesota council of nonprofits 2012 nonprofit salary and benefits survey.the president and vice president led the board in a 360-degree review of the executive director and the 2014 salary adjustment was approved by the board of directors in a closed session.

Minneapolis bike week is a week-long series of events and activities promoting all types of bicycling with a focus on encouraging those who do not normally ride to give it a try. Minneapolis bike week showcases the ease, simplicity, and enjoyment of going places by bike. Events and activities include group rides, classes, commuter pit stops, free breakfasts, celebration locations, and much more. 2014 was the first minneapolis bike week--the coalition partnered with the city of minneapolis on the event, which drew more than 11,000 participants to activities over 8 days.
