“Womensource is dedicated to encouraging personal and professional success to women and girls of all ages and backgrounds in northeast georgia by providing educational programs, including: power lunch program - bi-monthly educational lunch program for women in a variety of subject areas. Speakers range from inspirational to informative. Womensource partners with area agencies serving women and/or children to help increase awareness and give attendees the opportunity to show their support. In 2015, 615 women attended the power lunch series. Financial program - womensource offers a free annual series to help women take control of their finances in a variety of situations. Past topics have included setting goals, understanding your credit score and how to improve it, setting up a plan to pay off debt, opening and managing a checking account, setting up a support system to be successful, and getting to know the different types of insurance benefits. Girl power - a womensource workshop for teens and women who love them. This special half-day, free workshop celebrates young women. The goals of the event are to help young women explore ways to better their self-esteem, encourage them to lead a confident, healthy lifestyle, and empower them to take charge of their future. In 2015, 245 teens attended this event. Motivating women - womensource offers a lunch and a dinner event with a speaker who talks to women about how to best set and succesfully reach goals, along with other best practices. In 2015, 328 women attended the motivating women events. In addition to these ongoing programs, womensource also offers screenings of movies and documentaries that are important to women's history and/or current events and other networking events.”

PAST TOPICS HAVE INCLUDED SETTING GOALS, UNDERSTANDING YOUR CREDIT SCORE AND HOW TO IMPROVE IT, SETTING UP A PLAN TO PAY OFF DEBT, OPENING AND MANAGING A CHECKING ACCOUNT, SETTING UP A SUPPORT SYSTEM TO BE SUCCESSFUL, AND GETTING TO KNOW THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF INSURANCE BENEFITS. GIRL POWER - A WOMENSOURCE WORKSHOP FOR TEENS AND WOMEN WHO LOVE THEM. THIS SPECIAL HALF-DAY, FREE WORKSHOP CELEBRATES YOUNG WOMEN.
