RU has distinguished itself through its compelling digital media campaigns. The digital program raises awareness of political corruption and builds support for grassroots activities across the country. RUs social media presence is among the largest in the industry, accounting for nearly 40% of all Facebook engagement in the democratic reform field. RU produces creative digital videos, shareable memes, and hard-hitting communications that make abstract issues like campaign finance, gerrymandering, and electoral reform issues easy to understand. In 2016, RU produced forty-one new videos, which accrued more than ten million views.

IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy3Grp/Desc0The Represent.Us campaign mobilizes millions of Americans of all political ideologies; it has built a robust and politically diverse grassroots movement. In 2016, RU added eighty-five thousand new members to its roster, more than seven thousand new volunteers stepped up, and forty Represent.Us chapters were active nationwide. RU utilizes multiple tactics to sustain and retain grassroots members and volunteers these include: developing user friendly online organizing resources and facilitation of training calls, online discussion forums and peer-to-peer mentorship. The grassroots organizing program conducted fifty-five training calls, four hundred chapter meetings, and more than thirty thousand outreach calls in 2016. Represent.Us volunteers work with local politicians to pass acts and resolutions in their own communities. 2016 saw the passage of twenty initiatives and resolutions at the state and local level.
