FORM 990, PART I, LINE 1, DESCRIPTION OF ORGANIZATION MISSION:

Since 2008, path with art has focused on utilizing the arts to support individual and community health and well-being. We currently work with 1,500 individuals and families and 60+ social service and health agencies. After 15 years of honing our practice, however, path with art is scaling our impact through sharing our expertise and deepening collaborations to support meaningful systems change through the integration of arts in public health. We are accomplishing this through three areas of focus. 1. Practice - healing-centered arts engagement for systems impacted individuals and families in recovery remains at the center of all path with art does, informing all of our learning. Programs include professional arts instruction, exhibitions, showcases, leadership opportunities, & community building in a variety of visual & performing arts disciplines as a means to promote health and well-being. 2. Training - building capacity in the arts + health sector through sharing our learning and expertise to the arts, social service, and health care communities. 3. Advocacy - support deeper understanding of the role of arts in supporting health outcomes for individuals and the public through outreach, convenings, & publication of outcomes data & research. In 2023, path with art and johns hopkins international arts + mind lab entered into a learning collaboration to demonstrate the programs' effects on behavioral health and well-being.

OVER 90% OF PARTICIPANTS SELF REPORTED PWA PROGRAMS IMPROVED THEIR MENTAL/BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, AND 30% REPORTED AN IMPROVEMENT IN PHYSICAL HEALTH.
