Cato's Project on Criminal Justice has launched strategic policy initiatives to remedy systemic defects in our criminal justice system. These include unconstitutional overcriminalization of conduct, mistargeted police efforts, the decline of the jury trial, and a policy of near-zero accountability for police and prosecutors. In 2018, the project launched a campaign to challenge and roll back qualified immunity.”

Recently, foreign policy scholars published a book on aviation security and studies on counterterrorism, arms sales, and U.S.-Iran relations.
