Windsor County Partners builds healthy communities through youth mentoring. Now in its 5th decade, the organization has created and supported over 1400 mentoring partnerships. These mentoring partnerships offer youth shared experiences and ideas to widen their vision of themselves. Mentoring helps local youth to become confident, productive members of the community.

Upon or before election, hiring or appointment, all employees, volunteers and board members make full written disclosure of interests, relationships, and holdings that could potentially result in an actual or perceived conflict of interest. This written disclosure is kept on file and updated annually, or more frequently as needed.In the course of meetings or activities, employees, volunteers and board members are required to disclose any interests in a transaction where the individual, his or her business, other nonprofit affiliations, family, partner, employer or close associate may receive a benefit or gain. After disclosure, the individual is asked to leave the room and is not permitted to vote on the transaction. Meeting minutes note the disclosure and absence of the employee, volunteer or board member.

Part V, Line 4: Intended uses of the endowment fund.

WCP established the Rose Buswell Endowment Fund to provide ongoing financial support for its youth mentoring programs. The fund is invested to protect medium to long-term assets while providing relatively even distributions. The endowment is a component fund of The Vermont Community Foundation.

IRS990/Desc0PALS - PARTNERS ALWAYS LEND SUPPORTWindsor County Partners is in its 5th decade of building healthier communities through youth mentoring. The organization creates custom-matched mentorships. All of its programming is certified under rigorous Quality Mentoring Standards.Through its signature PALS (Partners Always Lend Support) program, WCP offers community-based mentoring to youth aged 7-18. Thanks to the PALS program, dozens of children benefited this year from a caring adult in their lives. In FY2017, a total of 26 matches were served in a hybrid model. These mentoring partnerships meet for 2 hours per week for at least a year, with many partnerships continuing on for years.Mentored youth learn life skills, provide community service and participate in cultural and athletic activities. IRS990/ProgSrvcAccomActy2Grp/Desc0LDL - LET'S DO LUNCHWindsor County Partners prides itself in providing quality mentoring experiences. The organization creates custom-matched mentorships. All of its programming is certified under rigorous Quality Mentoring Standards.Through its Let's Do Lunch program, WCP offers school-based mentoring to youth aged 5 and up. Through the Let's Do Lunch program, in-school mentors are provided in Springfield, VT. Mentoring starts in elementary school and can be continued through high school. As Springfield children live in the town with the lowest average household income in Windsor County, extra services can help them succeed. Not including those matches which bridged to the PALS program, a total of 5 active matches were served in the LDL program in FY2017. LDL partnerships spent more than 150 cumulative hours together.The children in these matches received encouragement and a listening ear. LDL mentors meet with their mentees one hour per week throughout the school year. Children in LDL mentorships enjoyed fun times with an adult friend. These school-based experiences include board games, playground time, or just chatting. Many mentorships in the school-based program eventually bridge to WCP's community-based PALS program.More information about WCP is available on its website and Facebook page.
