Youth in education programs council on rural service programs inc serve over 600 youth and families in darke miami and shelby counties the corporation has alternative education programs and after school programs such as teen-parent connection p ositive enrichment respite for youth anger management and runaway and homeless youth the corporation also provides tutoring and have youth centers in greenville ohio and sidney ohio

Hands on west central ohio including retired senior volunteer program rsvp directly connected more than 1500 voulunteers to service opportunities throughout our four county region in 2011 and the program inpacted an additional 200 volunteers wh ose efforts were led by eight of our rsvp volunteers handson west central ohio including rsvp is a program of council on rural services handson west central ohio inspires equips and mobilizes people to take action that changes the world our pro gram will help every person discover their power to make a difference by connecting people with opportunities to serve as volunteers within local nonprofit organizations building the capacity for effective local volunteeri ng promoting and fostering volunteerism participating in strategic initiatives such as the program that mobilizes volunteers of all ages ethnicities and genders to meet local needs
