DescriptionGrantsExpenses
Line 28 - Craft Events: The Craftworkers' Guild supported the ongoing development of its members as skilled and successful crafters and artisans by staging one typical craft event (in October) and three expanded events (November, December and May). Online sales were discontinued as schedules for in-person events were re-vamped to accommodate changing customer shopping patterns. During this year, 39 members earned $35,126 as a result of the 62 days the shop was open during the business year.$0$0
Line 29 - Member Services: The Craftworkers' Guild maintained a cordial and mutually supportive association of members who share an appreciation for arts, crafts and crafting, and the role these play in our culture and heritage. The organization also worked to preserve, develop and share crafting knowledge and skills, and promote excellence in craftsmanship. As a result, 54 members benefited from one-to-one member support and services that included training regarding point-of-sale operations and individual coaching as our members practiced their new skills. In-person group meetings and other member events similar to the pre-Covid years were resumed. Seven informational and networking meetings with craft-related programs were held, along with six small group and numerous individual training and support sessions.$0$0
Line 30 - Outreach and Promotion of Craft: The Craftworkers' Guild supported appreciation of arts and crafts in the community in several ways. One scholarship was awarded to a graduating senior who planned to pursue higher education with creative components. The Guild contributed to the upkeep of the town-owned historic Oliver Kendall House, thus reducing the tax burden on the community at large. The organization continued to expand its social media presence, which helped to bring in new members with different skills as several long-time members retired.$0$0
